A little about us.

Hi, we’re Grant and Jessica Adams — and we’re so glad you’re here!

Grant is a Pike County native who’s been farming since he could walk and talk. I moved around a bit growing up, but Haysville in Dubois County will always feel like home to me. Our story started in 2010 when Grant walked into the salon where I worked for a haircut — and the moment I saw him, I knew I’d marry him one day.

Today, we farm together (mostly Grant, but I proudly run the grain cart when needed and make the all-important parts and meal runs), raise cattle, and are raising our four amazing kiddos.

A little about Highbanks.

Highbanks was born from a dream, one I’ve carried for many years. With every social media post I came across asking questions like “where can I host a birthday party?” or “where can I have a family reunion?” or “are there any venues that hold x amount of guests?”, it only fueled my desire to bring an events venue to our community. Once we made the decision to turn this dream into a reality, we were stuck on a name. We shuffled through a few different ideas but none of them felt right. So I dug into the history of the area to find inspiration. And boy did I hit a goldmine.

History of Highbanks

It just so happens the road we’re located on is also known as Highbanks Road that just so happens to lead to the old town of Highbanks. While there are no landmarks left, you can still see the shape of the town on a map. Highbanks became an official town in 1819 and by 1963, it no longer existed. One of the commercial establishments found in Highbanks during the early 1850’s was Robert Logan’s general store. Robert Logan, his wife Elizabeth and their family have been a huge inspiration for our venue.  From the names of our wedding packages, the names of our rooms and the simple decor and statement pieces sprinkled throughout the venue, we’re hoping to put Highbanks back on the map for many years to come.

We exist to serve our local community with beauty, care, and excellence—bringing people together through thoughtful design, heartfelt service, and unforgettable experiences.
